"I am originally from Mauritius but graduated from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Lyon, France with an MEng in Information Technology and a Masters in Entrepreneurship.
I was looking for a stimulating role within an international company and to work in Asia. Misys Sophis, and its high profile in the Finance and IT industries fitted the bill perfectly. I joined as an IT consultant in January 2008, spent five months in Paris and then in May 2008 moved to the Hong Kong office.
I deal with major banks in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan on a daily basis, including HSBC, Bank of East Asia, Bank of China and Standard Chartered Bank as well as hedge funds. My role is to support clients and to provide advice and consulting on client architecture and integration with Misys Sophis technology. Part of that involves regular on-site upgrades of Misys Sophis at clients’ sites,
To succeed at Misys Sophis you must be highly client-orientated and ready to respond to complex technical questions and issues, which are usually very urgent. You also need advanced technical skills in various fields and to learn new skills quickly, as technology changes at a very fast pace.
Despite the pressure Misys Sophis offers an excellent working atmosphere and colleagues are always there to help when needed.”
