This role is based in one of our Research and Development centres and is a key appointment as you will be expected to lead a team of software engineers tasked with designing, developing and enhancing a number of complex brand new and existing applications.
Your main duties will consist of the analysis, planning and translation of business requirements and specifications into object-oriented technical design, as well as the day-to-day running of projects with an ongoing contribution to development.
The role will involve working with our professional services teams and with QA to resolve open product issues in an efficient manner.
You will also be required to manage, mentor and advise your team. You will hold an MSc in a computing discipline, with six or seven years' complex software development experience including 2+ years experience of leading a team of software engineers.
C++, STL and SQL technical expertise is a must. VC++, MFC, C# and experience in software development for investment banking are desirable but not essential.
You will have a broad understanding of the application development life cycle. You will take a flexible and hands on approach in your work, be hardworking and enthusiastic and take ownership of issues following up through to resolution.
