Our multinational executive committee has extensive expertise in international business management (including human resources management and business development) and global financial markets, as well as in-depth knowledge of local markets in Europe, North and South America, the Pacific, the Middle East and Asia.
Pascal Xatart - CEO
Pascal Xatart was appointed CEO of Sophis in July 2007. Pascal's key responsibility at Sophis is to strengthen the company's leading presence in Europe while accelerating its international expansion in the US and Asia. Pascal joined Sophis from Linedata Services, where he served as Managing Director of the Asset Management division between 2004-2006, building the company's presence in North America and Asia. Prior to 2004, Pascal held the position of CFO in Linedata and a number of other organisations, working on IPO's and acquisitions across all continents. Pascal was educated at the European Business School in Paris and the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received an MBA.
Arnaud Vinciguerra - Head of R&D
Arnaud is a co-founder of Sophis and is Head of R&D. He began by developing a pricing tool, then in 1993 built the first version of Sophis RISQUE. Since then, Arnaud has supervised all RISQUE and VALUE developments, including both front and back office modules and servers. He currently manages a team of more than 150 engineers, based in Paris and Dublin. Arnaud graduated in maths from l’ Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris and has lived in Argentina, the UK and France.
Nicolas Roussel - Executive Vice President Sales
Nicolas joined Sophis in 1994 and is Executive Vice President, Sales, responsible for sales development worldwide in close cooperation with the regional sales teams. Nicolas was instrumental in building the foundation of Sophis’ European client base. Prior to this, he worked as VP of Operations at 3V Finance (a financial software company specialising in financial mathematics). He graduated from ENSEEIHT, a software engineering school, where he specialised in financial mathematics.
Sebastien Roussotte - COO UK, Middle East
Based in London, Sebastien joined Sophis in July 2006 and is now Chief Operating Officer for the UK and Scandinavia. Prior to Sophis, Sebastien spent 10 years at Reuters, first as Head of the Product Management teams for Kondor+, a front-to-back office product offering, then as Managing Director for the Trade and Risk Management software business where he grew revenues to €90m including acquisitions. Sebastien was educated at l’Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France and has degrees in Economics and Financial Markets.
Corinne Grillet - COO Asia Pacific
Corinne has overseen the opening of five offices in Asia: Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing. Before being appointed COO for Asia Pacific, Corinne was responsible for Sophis' operations in the UK, US and Asia from 2000-2004. Corinne joined Sophis in 1999 after starting her professional career at GE Capital in 1997 where she created a risk management department in Paris. Corinne received her diplomas from l'Ecole Polytechnique in 1993 and l'ENSAE in 1998. She also completed her military service in the French Marines and is a National Ski instructor.
Eric Bernstein - COO North America
Eric is Chief Operating Officer for North America, based in New York. Prior to joining Sophis, Eric held various positions at Linedata Services including Senior Vice President in charge of North America Sales, Senior Vice President in charge of Global Product Management and Head of Relationship Management. Prior to this Eric also held trader and market maker positions at various equity trading companies. Eric holds a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York.
Samer Ballouk - Head of Product Management and Business Development
As Global Head of Product Management and Business Development, Samer heads up an international team responsible for Sophis' overall product portfolio. Samer joined Sophis in 2000 as a Professional Services Manager to lead the RISQUE teams worldwide. Prior to this he started his career as a Business Intelligence Consultant at Syntegra. Samer holds a degree in Mathematics and a Master's from l’ Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications de Bretagne.
Younes Guemouri - COO Continental Europe
Younes joined Sophis in 2000 and is now Chief Operating Officer for Continental Europe. Before taking on this new role, Younes was heading the sell side services teams for Germany and the UK. He was also responsible for developing services and sales support for our buy side offer in Continental Europe, the US and the UK. Younes has a PhD in Energetics (applied mathematics) from INP in Nancy, France. Before joining Sophis he was a post-Doctorate researcher in applied mathematics.
Paul Bosson - CFO
Sophis CFO, Paul Bosson has been a Chief Financial Officer of private equity backed businesses in the technology sector for the last eight years. In 2009 he has joined Sophis from Euphony, a European telecommunications group backed by Penta Capital. Prior to his role at Euphony Paul worked for large blue chip companies then other companies backed by private equity firms, achieving successful exits for each of them from either a trade sale or a secondary buy-out. He is a chartered accountant and holds an engineering degree from Imperial College, London and a MBA from Henley Management College.
